Environmental issues and the whole saving-the-planet narrative is not something what became important and “trendy” only for the so-called Y Generation. For quite some time already an immense damage our mankind is causing for its Mother Earth has been visible and, sadly, it is gradually increasing, be it destroying endangered species, cutting trees, massively consuming or making wars.

And there are some “alarming” songs written about that. 40 years ago Marvin Gaye tried to apologize to our planet while begging a mercy. At the same time, Joni Mitchell wrote that they took all the trees and put ‘em in a tree museum. A few years later our King of Pop invited everybody to heal the world while Jamiroquai was assuring that nothing’s going to change the way we live ‘cause we can always take but never give. In 2016 Sting released a song that is followed by the video that Rolling Stones magazine describes as “a charming ode to nature”. Here you go, forty years of fighting. And it’s definitely not the end.
